Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As I am typing this entry, the weather has made a quick turn about back to winter. This seems to be typical for our area of the country. The holidays are almost upon us, in the same manner. One minute we are in the middle of summer, then Labor Day arrives, and the next thing you know -we are zooming into Thanksgiving and Christmas. (Or, it could just be because the local radio station began playing Christmas tunes at the end of October!)

It isn't as if we don't have 365 days advance notice for preparation! And the same goes for birthdays, taxes - ugh! - and all of the annual events in our lives. We just have so many plates spinning in the air, we all do our best to keep them going, and the truth of the matter is, eventually one of them may fall. Something will be forgotten . . . and hopefully, it isn't earth shattering. (No pun intended!) Some to-do lists will be a little behind and maybe, even someone will be a little disappointed. And, in the end, we'll all get a little closer to our humanity and all of the imperfections and missteps will be forgiven. If it really is about the thought being what counts, we should all be in good stead.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! My special thoughts are being sent, for good cheer, good fortune, and to find a world of peace - all wrapped up in a big, red bow!

Update on Office Move

They say that good things come to those who wait. If this rings true, the new office location will be a good move . . . . just a little later than anticipated. We hope the move will take place by November 10th. Keep checking back for updates.

New Office Location

In speaking of changes, I am looking forward to being in my new office by November 3rd. We will still use the current mailing address and other contact information - just the physical location will change.

The new office will be located at:
1122 Sam Newell Road
Suite 112
Matthews, NC 28105

As always, we see clients by appointment. As a courtesy, please call before dropping by as we are in a private office building.

Seizing The Moment

As I am preparing to head to the High Point Furniture Market, in hopes of sourcing great finds for clients, I can't help but become distracted by my absolutely favorite season. In fact, it has been easy to be distracted, as of late. There always seems to be so much going on, so much information to process and so many things on the "to-do" list. It just seems to reason the mind would be apt to wander off any given path.

I usually can be convinced it's better to have a plan and stick to it. (And knowing my personality, I will eventually get back to lists, commitments and all of the "shoulds" of life.) In the interim, I am spending a little "me" time, playing around with my new blogsite. I am not sure if it will be totally about interior design - even though that is still my big passion. There are other areas of life to be explored and I am ready to look into those options.

For now, I'll just enjoy the changing of the seasons, while I observe how those beautiful leaves float along, powered by the breeze, taking them in all directions.

Oh, to be a leaf!
